Looks like it has bent the bottom hinge.
Suddenly all the apparatus in the door is too high to latch on to the catch on the frame.
There was a very, very minor swingage incident (I was parked at a gate, on an incline, I moved forward as the gate opened, and I pulled over immediatedly after when I saw the door swing open, had not been closed properly)
Please don't tell me this low speed nonevent has destroyed something?
Everything is tight, nothing is fractured, what have I done?

Yeah bottom hinge looks bent in photo
What all the above said. Except I'll add that if you can't see anything, remember that the hinge only needs to be bent a poofteenth of a coupla mill
and it will look worse on the other side of the door. (as per pics)
Secon one i have seen this week and same cause most likely as said bottom hinge bent

I saw a post a little while ago regarding adjustment of the back door. If nothing looks bent, then (from memory) you take the rear trim off and there are a couple of bolts that can be adjusted. Loosen, adjust, then re tighten. Happy to be stand corrected!

if DI5CO's under trim fix doesn't cut it - what is the remedy for bent hinge? Is there somewhere I can hit it with a mallet or a crowbar to put manners on it? Or is it a heat up job somewhere.. with.. god knows, an engineering mob (there goes the paint though)
I doubt very much if you'd need heat to straighten the hinge, they're not exactly bank vault standard. First I'd try hanging my body weight off the LH side of the door, see if it comes down, if that fails unbolt the door and give the hinge some careful loving with a large hammer. With care and a bit of fine adjustment afterwards the whole job should cost very little and leave the paint intact.
Pic of lower hinge on my wrecked D2:
It's not real strong.
the Jack and couple lumps of Timber put manners on it
Maybe a quarter of a turn too many with the jack (1mm too low give or take) But she closes nicely (I can just feel it is slightly different when I open it) but I guess a little time and a couple of enthusiastic opens later on will even that out (top hinge was slightly bent but we didn't bother with that, we'd had enough fun holding everything when we had the floor to rest on, was not keen to try the whole thing again 2 ft off the floor and no supports lol
