I have not changed these core plugs on my TD5 but given its not a big job to remove the inlet manifold it would make the job much easier to do so.
You may need to remove the R/H engine mount as well.
Hi All, I have a welch plug that's just started to leak on my 03 Disco TD5, tucked in behind an engine mount, does anyone know if the inlet manifold has to be removed to improve access? Any advice would be appreciated.

I've removed the inlet manifold and have replaced all 3 core plugs, thanks everyone.
Found the info that I was after, thanks
How long did it take you Difflock88? And what parts did you need? I'd expect to need 3 welch plugs, an inlet manifold gasket and some plug sealant. Anything I'm missing?
