I just bought blade refills from Supercheap Auto using their figment guide - I don't recall them being unusual/remarkable.
Wipers are better than before, and fine for rain, however for country driving at dusk they are still utterly useless for anything beyond smearing bugs into a visibility compromising mess to go with the standard 10 candlepower headlights.
Given there are places around the middle of the windscreen that the blades don't make good contact I had thought that the springs may have lost adequate tension and may need replacing. Or is this a symptom of not replacing the whole (arm + blade) unit? Any ideas before I get windscreen wiper rage?
Mark
This is why I went for brand new D1 arms, my old ones were over 13 years old. I tried replacing the wiper strip with an insert cut to fit, but as you say Mark they weren't effective and noisy.
I now have u beaut $40 wipers (Can't remember the make) with new arms, the performance is exceptional and no noise.
Cheers
OP . Where do you manage to find a hooker for $2.00 ?
I removed the plastic strip between guides with side (wire) cutters resolved issues.
The wiper blade doesnt sit flat on the screen, this plastic strip prevents the wiper assy pivoting on its centre hinge.
I cut in situ and retained the top and bottom guides
