    What price 04 D2 Td5?

    Hi Fellas (fellettes) I've popped over from the D1 forum to ask a question. I am very tempted by an upgrade to a Td5, and I have found a nice looking one locally. 180,000kms, base model 03 MY, but has had rear seats installed making it a 7 seater. Original stereo, air bag suspension in rear (may have been retro fitted with seats). I am wondering what to offer as I think the vendor is asking too much?

    I would appreciate any ideas - or should I just follow redbook?

    What's he asking?
    Price range from $6k - $20k
    Too many variables
    Check for service history and the usual problems, all of which are well documented in this forum

    Second owner, always garaged, looks good, full service history asking $17,990. Redbook says $13,500-$16,100 expecting 150-250,000kms, not sure of problems yet, mechanical inspection in next few days

    I've yet to see a car priced in line with what Redbook says. They must exist though....

    was it sold new with 7 seats or not?
    if not it needs a mod plate.

    Yes it has a mod plate, rear seats installed as an after-market mod

    There is about to be an apparently goodun Perth D2 TD5 red 7 seater/rear aircon put up for sale in about a fortnight or so. I think he was talking about $7K because he got it cheap - don't know kms.

    Great - except it's a private sale! Plus I doubt anyone pays what the dealer advertises a vehicle for!

    What rear suspension does it have then? SLS or coil springs?

    Personally I'd keep an eye out for one with SLS and ACE as features. They're great!
