Why do you think I never drive to your place and always go by motorbike?

Haha,, the offer is always there, you don't always know what the situation is until you ask. Most times people are ok and don't need, or want anything.

I've been stranded on the side a few times, and it never ceases to amaze me as to how many people won't even look your way to see. IMO, very rude and uncaring.

A couple of months ago, I stopped to help a Tojo towing a flatbed trailer with some type of massive work table on it. They had the bonnet up, so I figured they wanted water, which I had. Turns out, they were looking for large rocks to place on the drawbar to increase the tow ball weight. I asked why, as they already had bags of cement and other stuff tied on there. He'd lost a couple of wheel nuts/studs already from the back axle.
Looking at the Tojo, this, or really, any other action was going to be futile.
A 4" lift, 35" tyres, and a standard tow hitch (height wise).
Couldn't talk to him about it, as he'd been carting caravans all around the country for work. The fact that the car he normally used was a standard Tojo, and not this his sons lifted car, seemed to mean absolutely nothing to him.

Oh well, so be it, at that point I decided I wouldn't help him by towing the trailer for him,,, behind a standard height car.

stopped for a D2 in Bendigo a few weeks ago; he had a big boat on the back and the missus and kids in tow (was around8pm ish on my way home for work). I offered to move the boat for them somewhere and they were tempted but he'd already called his father from Ballarat so in the end I wasn't any help at all lol

    old fashion courtesy

My dear departed father instilled in me that you always stop and offer help if you can. I have changed several flat tyres for people over the years, working as a rep and courier you spend a lot of time on the road. The one time I came across a stranded Disco was just outside Echuca as I was on my way back from Shepparton. A lovely couple with some international friends on board, they had already contacted the RACV to arrange a tow but as they were only spending one night in Echuca were hoping to get on a paddlesteamer that afternoon. Loaded up and dropped them at the Echuca Wharf and with heartfelt thanks they were off on the river...... LandRover people are good people.

Hey! My Holden is the most reliable car I have ever had.

Over the past few weeks I have passed quite a number of D2's on the side of the road. Oddly they were all white. Didn't stop as I was unable to offer any further assistance than they already had.

Do you want to come to Adelaide and do some pest control for us? We are struggling to find a place that will even return a phonecall, let alone do a good job.
