Sounds like those "other markets" are LHD, particularly north america.

In ALL RHD applications the RHS spring is longer than the LHS spring, this applies to the front and rear in non-SLS models.

Where as in ALL LHD applications both springs are the same lenght, again this applies to the front and rear in non-SLS models.

So looking at the free lenght of the LHD models to the free lenght of the RHD models, to me, it would indicate that the 'natural' weight of the Discovery 2 is higher on the RHS, meaning that in a RHD model a longer spring is required to allow for the 'nominal' the weight of the driver.

Is pure conjecture. Do landrover say anywhere the longer springs are for "the weight of the driver"?
How does a stock, unmolested D2 sit on a completely flat surface?

As I wrote earlier, every stock vehicle I've measured has been lower on the drivers side.
