A short lead sensor would not take too long to remove and replace (longer than 5 minutes though even with two fully functioning arms). i'm sure someone will correct me if I am incorrect but short leads are normally rear sensors and longs are fronts I believe, .and from my personal experience it should not take any more than about 30 minutes to change one start to finish not a big or hard job

Depends if the rotor is a tight fit an is a bugger to get off. But I would say 2 hours to remove the wheel. Drill out the rotor screw, remove the disc rotor. Use brake cleaner to clean around the sensor before removal. Refit in reverse not a hard job. Are you goin to a dealer for that kind of quote?

Plaven - For $680 are you sure they have not quoted you on a complete hub assembly with wheel bearing and ABS sensor?

I thought the same and asked them about it. It's $400 for the long sensor and 1 1/2 hours labour.

I checked out the sensor and found grass tangled around the area. I removed that checked for any looseness in the bearing and it seemed ok.

They reset the error code code and it hasn't come back.... yet.
