    Head Gasket Suppliers

    Hi,

With alot of talk about softening of headgaskets in D2 TD5 I wanted to prepare myself.

When replacement is due I would like to tackle the job myself so instead of having to pay $400 in a hurry one day to get a kit from Repco I wanted to collect my bits slowly.

    Is this a good deal?
Head Gasket Elring For Land Rovers And Range Rovers (Fits ERR7217)

I understand there are two different types how do I tell which one I need.

The previous owner says he did the dowels so I think I will only need bolts and gasket.

It already has double exhaust gaskets

    Cheers

I probably should have checked the part number but the picture clear is for a 4 cylinder engine. So I suspect its for 1 side of a V8 not the TD5.

    Also the td5 was never in a D1 or a P38 ;-)

    My Bad,

It was obviously late when I was looking. .....Or not looking...........

I did see that it only had four holes but thought it may have been a reference photo only.

Never clicked that it may have been for the V8s.

    Ill keep looking.

Feel free to paste any links to gaskets that are well priced

    Cheers

I am in the same boat.
So is an Elring gasket up to the job or is it best to use a genuine LR gasket?

Elring make the gaskets for Land Rover, at least they do for the 200TDi. I would have no problem fiting an Elring to a Td5.
