You can try taking it to a gravel/dirt hill and put your hill decent on (tip from a mate at work) he said that has fixed it for him in the past
you need to do your research,,
not just throw money at it,,
I understand you are pushed for time, but have you been told what the actual fault is?
Was the fault found with a diagnostic machine? eg, nanocom?
lots (and LOTS) of people on here have been through the three amigoes before,,,
and would be only to happy to help---
1. Find the source of the issue.
2. Fix, which even if it does mean throwing money at it it won't be the upwards of $2-3000 that is claimed for a "new" ABS unit. At most a couple of hundred for a new switch assy and seals and a weekend to fix.
2a. Option B fix means a good day and some pre reading.
You should still be able to sell the car with the fault on the pink or blue sheet. But they will than need to have it re inspected after getting it fixed to rego it in their name.
The idear is to show any fault to the new buyer. Not to stop the sale.
I could be wrong as I don't live in Vic, but that's my understanding.
