Fuel test has come back clean. Nothing but diesel in the tank. Still a mystery what has caused the explosion.

Well, the mechanic has decided it was a dodgy fuel pump, and their insurance is seeking a solution with the manufacturer.
The the mechanic's credit, a new pump and tank have been fitted at no expense. the floor has also been 'shaped' back close to original.
In reality, they should replace the floor, but so long as the rear seats clip in and it all looks ok, I think that's a fair outcome.
