It does mean more wires under my bonnet though. I have tried to keep everything as neat as possible but once I installed the Madman with it's half a dozen sensor wires it's started to look like a Christmas tree in there.

No more wiring, just run a pair of relays from the control (cant see the switching handling too much current (I realise it's just switching the contactor)) and there's only a coule of wires to run into the bay.

Something I just thought of. I have a signal emulator that I use to lower my suspension like the option Key fob does. I currently have a small silver toggle switch in one of the dash surround buttons. It's only small and not noticable but it is out of place. Using the steering wheel stereo buttons will be perfect.

Just putting my 2 bits worth in here
i have attached a foto here for all you guys who like adding
power supply leads to the battery terminals
which i think looks a bit Daggy.
some may not realise that good old Mr L/R
actually allowed for this in the fuse box
as per the foto
you can add extra power cables out of sight and neatly
to these points inside the fuse box
and there is a cutout in the fusebox lid to allow these leads access.
and just outside the box is an Earth bus for the black wires you need to add.

Absolutely, in fact (and I still can't understand why) but it's preferable to pick up earths at least away from the battery and picking up positive in the fuse box (in the right place) it's already protected.
Make all your realys earth switched so that you're only running one wire per circuit inside, less sparks if shorted and easier diagnosis if something goes wrong. All the power is in one place.
Er, with all these dials, displays and rockin' switches... not to mention the obligatory Nanocom... will you be able to multi-task sufficiently to utilise that most important gauge in front as you drive ?
