Altho' di5co had a bad experience with them maybe was unlucky and got duds so the jury might still be out on the Arnott bags, they seem to be worth me keeping for emergency situations.

I don't see why you'd replace originals (which have a seperate bag which is easily and cheaply replaced) with proprietary units which are not servicable.

If you want longer stroke, I'd go firestone. If you don't need longer stroke then stick to originals.

I recently replaced both bags on my D2 with Dunlops from Paddocks in UK, the pricing was cheaper then the Arnott units from USA landed here in New Zealand.

I just ordered two Dunlops last night from Island 4x4 in Uk as well as crank angle sensor. I priced Arnotts a while ago and their freight was too expensive.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Dougal, do you have any part numbers on the firestones and sizes/stroke?

I have the Arnotts on my D2, changed to them when the originals perished. I have had them for a few years now and can't say I have had any issues with them, have had them for approx 3 years now.

Yeah they appear to be 110/130 bags which airbagman tells me won't fit.

John was deep into their truck springs catalogue. He's not one to take the accepted off-the-shelf option.
