Thread: brake issues

thanks all, it is EGR blanked and all is still good there.
i had to get under it in the pouring rain after physio today. stupid xyz switch wigs out, get the flashing M and S lights, and gears do nto change, well D flashes. its always the same issue, the little clip that has the selector arm on the side of the xyz switch has moved or like today half come off. so i put it back on in the right spot and fixes it. has anyone else had this issue? there are a lot of automatic discos and there has to be somethign missing from mine as the clip is very loose, and it slips off, or pops out of its grooves. im worried about it coming off again completely and it getting lost. it came out once but thankfully was at home so was not hard to find. without it one does not even have park!

I have a brake vacuum issue. If I use the brakes in quick succession I seem to get a rock hard pedal and very little stopping ability. It's just started happening straight away after I replaced my fuel pressure regulator and fuel hose.

Any one got any ideas what I could have done here?
Does anyone know how much vacuum pressure the td5 should produce? Mine is making 10psi according to the mechanic
Trying to diagnose if it's a leak or the pump is about to **** itself

Found and fixed the issue. I accidently dislodged this little tube plugged it back in and bobs your uncle.

Does anyone know what that thing is that it's plugged into?
And how do mechanics not pick up on these things, they told me a need a new master cylinder

by the look of it I think its the vacuum control for your egr

This looks exactly like a question I asked the other day about getting rid of it. Which you can also do.

Is there a benefit to removing it apart from clearing a bit of useless clutter. So you just blank of the tubes and that's it, No hidden traps?
