If you try what you suggest, make sure you someone to video it in case it goes wrong....
In all seriousness, Have you tried removing the inner trim and pushing out? May be easier to control the amount of force you apply.
Evening all!
Not sure if this one's been posted before, but just throwing it out there...
The door on my D2 has been pushed in (previous owner or the one before has reversed the spare wheel into something...a common issue, I'm told!) and I'm wondering if and how it can be pulled out, if possible? It doesn't look that visible from the rear, unless you stand on the rear bumper and look down at the tyre, it's canted slightly to the left and from inside looking at the door trim, there's a distinctive shallow 'V' along the line of the door pockets.
Would this be a simple case of lashing a rope through the spare wheel/bracket and around a telegraph pole, if you get my meaning?! Not convinced this would remove the V, though. The door seal doesn't leak, and I've cleaned the rubber with WD-40, as this has always worked in the past to give it it's 'bounce' back. I've also moved the striker plate inwards slightly.
Any ideas/ feedback gratefully received!
