Yes, you could load a Vanilla map...
Or you can just keep driving it if it drives fine...
So since owning my D2a which now has been about 12 months, it has always posted a bunch of random ecu errors onto my nanocom. I dont have the list on me right now but there were a fair few 'open load' ones. I have since read that this can be caused by an incorrect map loaded onto the ecu.
When removing my ecu a while ago to check if I had any oil running down the loom I noticed there was some info writen on the ECU in black maker pen, like it had been in a shop. I am unsure if the previous own has purchased this one to replace a faulty unit, or if he had some sort of upgrade installed. It was from some place called 'Dr Auto'. The other info was just the model of the ecu. Which is NNN000130 / NNW004060.
Now I have downloaded the opened my map file and its base firmware read as swdxe007 swtnp006, which if the ramdom table I found on the internet is for a NNN500030.
Do any of the ecu savvy readers know if this could be a problem? And if I can find a vanilla NNN000130 map file and install it?
Thanks, David.

Well to me it drives fine, but not havent drove the car with the proper map I really dont know....
Just knowing its wrong is more my issue, its the sort of thing that drives me insane.
Where would one find a vanilla map?
David.
Nanocom software can generate one...
Wasn't there an issue found with later EU maps loaded onto early engine causing errors but running OK?
When it comes to picking the right firmware, are the ecus in Australia programmed with the European version or the ROW one?
I hope thats not a silly question.....
