Yep just checked out disco web and all the praise for tom woods, I'm very happy with my tw shafts as well, he was fantastic to deal with, and makes a great product. In particularly I like how anybody that had issues, he jumped straight on it and sorted it out.
    Is this what you meant.?

My recollection was there was a bit of to and fro, some ultimately happy and some not so.

People just need to read widely then decide.

    Cheers

Whatever you get grease it regularly. I do mine after every long trip (about 1000k+) amazed how much grease it takes each time to "crack" the seals and expel old grease each time.

    Every 1000km !!!!????

Last lot of unis lasted, oh, 300,000km, and they were greased every 10-20,000km, or when I remembered, which ever occurred first......

Approximately, my drives include water and dust mostly. Having had one front DC explode, luckily at low speed, I want to ensure it never happens again.

I used to have to do a river crossing every day (in and out) and a minimum 12km of dirt where I used to live.

Live in town now (1000 people, ha !) so not as arduous.
