D2 full rebush including Watts Linkages

Just looking for an idea of what's best, how much and the best place to buy.

SuperPro do most of the bushes except the Watts and SparesPro seem to have pretty good prices although I haven't tried Super Cheap Auto yet.

I have read there are poly Watts linkages avalible but I can't find where from. For rubber I have read that Genuine are best.

Nolathane do the Radius bushes but caster correction. They also do sway bar link bushes but not sway bar to chassis. I don't think it's good to mix and match bushes on one part like the sway bar as the softer bush will cop all the movement. I'd be happy to use Nolathane if they did both.

    SuperPro prices from SparesPro.
    Radius to Diff 2 degree SPF2560K $272 SparesPro x2
    Radius to Chassis SPF2128K SparesPro $154 x2
    Sway bar link SPF0078K SparesPro $17, x2
Sway bar to Chassis SPF2136-35K SparesPro $37 x2
    Front Panhard SPF1803KSparesPro $34 x 1

Give lifestyle4x4 a call in Perth, Steve had a full set of super pro chassis bushes trying to offload cheap, offer him $100 if he has them.
Britpart do watts link bushes and it's only the chassis ones that come in plastic, if you can afford go original, or get the cranked arm from the USA if running a big lift.

With regards to the watts linkage. Remove the tow ball first and go for a drive to see if you have the same banging noise.

Your watts linkage may still be in good condition.

    ???

I don't have the hitch in the receiver. It's in the shed somewhere. I can rock the car left to right and hear the clonk. It feels pretty dampened when rocking it be hand and I can hardly induce it when driving on the road but as soon as the road becomes uneven it's almost like steel on steel with maybe a thin peice of rubber inbetween.

Have had a very similar thing the last few weeks progressively getting worse, driving me nuts.

Searching each arvo all nuts bolts and bushes, finally chucked a tanty at it yesterday and dropped my shockies and sure enough a rear top shockie bush was metal to metal on one side.
New shockies and world peace again...

Pull your shockies off and have a look, only a 10 minute job with a 18mm socket.

Yeh, good plan. I'll jump under there tomorrow and have a look. If one is starting to go, there's a good chance they will all start soon so I plan to do the whole lot as preventative maintenance.

If the shocks are the originals they will be shot.

Also probably best to have someone else do a visual on the rocking side to side motion to confirm the watts linkage has expired.

Shocks are Bilstien 7100s with less than 10,000km or maybe a little more since the trip.

I jumped under the other day and had a look. The top watts bearing/bush is definatly gone. I could move it one way then the other with a bar between the mounts.

I'm giving the Flo-Flew Watts Linkage kit a go. Ordered from Paddocks. $161 with conversion.

I'll still go ahead with all the other bushes when funds allow. Sometime in the next month or so.

I checked with Super Cheap Auto and they couldn't match the prices from SparesPro for the SuperPro bushes.

    Hey Yorkie,

I contacted lifestyle4x4 and he offered me the front and rear for $200.

The kits he has sounded reasonable, especially for the price however they aren't caster correction and I don't think they included ACE bushes or Watts bushes. That doesn't leave many bushes, esecially in the rear. Is still far cheaper than the SuperPro bushes but SuperPro seam to have an excellent reputation not only in Australia.

    Happy Days.
