Hymed all joints, there are 2 classes of steel used and I went the best. Works great and like I said it's been a few yrs now.great cheap mod, . Be it for mor extreme off rd or just daily driver. Tapping on the ph here![]()
Google found it for me "Heim joints" (UK). (Rose Joint in the US)
Yep.
I'm at work now but I'm keen to pull the old ones apart and see what's in the centre of them.
It appears the Hiem Joints are pretty ridgid. There maybe a very small amount of movement between the ball and socket but only very minimal. All the shock absortion of movement will be in the poly bushes in the Watts to Chassis mounts. I can't see this being a problem at all.
Happy Days.

I guess there will be no reason why the centre bearing couldn't be a normal roller beaing then Rose/Heim joints in the top and bottom centre bearings. With Rose/Heim joints I can't see why the centre bearing would need to roll, it only need to spin. If that makes sense.
Probably cheaper and better than any of the premade kits like I have.
Bahahaha , yep. Today I Hymened everything on my wattsamething
Hey Baffle,
Do you have any photos of the mod you have done? And or part numbers/ suppliers?
Will
U didnt upgrade to "Cranked" links Joel?
Would the use of Rose/ Hyme joints negate the need to 'crank'.the arms?
