I wouldn't be happy using a different torque setting.

Me neither but the inner sleeves I received sure wont handle it.

I also noted to Paddock that I had crushed the inner sleeve on one of the outer center bushes at 100nm when LR specify 155nm. There is no way at all the centre bush will handle 230nm.

    Happy Days.

I sent Rich from Flo-flex your picture and asked about the if the issues with the sleeves had been resolved. His response:

    Hi,

We are not aware of this. This is the first time we have seen this.

These have been fitted to many customers cars before they went on the market so as far as I'm aware there is no problem.

    Kind Regards,

    Rich.

That has to rate as one of the worst responses from a manufacturer.

If you go back to my earlier posts you'll see I ordered them but then had to wait while for them to be posted as they had to wait to receive new stock as they had a problem with the sleeves. Mine were supposed to be the new stock with the problem rectified.

I did a fair amount of searching but I couldn't find much if any info on these but I was willing to be the Guinee pig and try then out. If they have fitted so many, where are the people that run them. Maybe they don't have internet access or they just aren't members of any forums.

Interesting the Flo-flex web site doesn't list Land Rover but you can search for watts bushes to find them.

    Happy days.

Thanks for the update re this drama you've had. I'm almost positive that I'll now avoid the FloFlex and replace mine with genuine.

I wonder if Paddock Spares have actually spoken to Flo Flex regarding this issue?

I have receive Paddocks replacement bushes. I'm not sure if they are BritPart or some other equivalent but they sure aren't Genuine Land Rover..

The part number rgx100960k shown on Paddocks paper work is Brit Part.

Not so Happy but at least I'll get the Disco back on the road.

I have no idea how Flo-Flex think their inner sleeve would handle the compression force of the bolt.

The below photos are to compare the Flo-Flex sleeve that's made out of alloy with the replacement bushes which have steel sleeves. The old bushes have the same size sleeve.

Not having a go but your quest to save a buck or 3 has back fired . Would it not be better dealing with someone localy in Aus like Roverlords or alike
