    Vibration at 110km/h D2a TD5

I've noticed a vibration that comes in at 110km/h, i thought it was engine revs at first but if i do 110km/h then shift down a gear to bring the revs up it is still there. Below 105km/h it is smooth as.

Has anyone experienced this before? Or should i look at the standard things like wheel balancing and maybe a tail shaft balance issue.

IMO till you dont rule out the wheel balance you can't go further with the diagnose... if you went to mud lately wash out well the wheels from behind cos stuck mud there could cause that

I had the same problem. Ended up being the front shaft. Fitted a new genuine shaft and its much better.

Check your rear drive shaft - it may have dropped a weight and this can cause speed related vibrations.

I agree with your consensus however it is not an off road vehicle, thus why I thought i'd ask the question.

Also the wheel might have lost a balance weight

I would carefully check the prop shafts, especially the DC joint at the back of the front one. Not because this is particularly likely to be the problem, but because if it is, this might be the only warning you get before it lets go - and that is something you definitely do not want to happen.
