    Wiring 12v to rear

Hey all, what is the easiest path to run a new lead from a dual battery to the rear cargo area of a d2?
Was thinking of running along the chassis rail and up, but open to suggestions.

I've got a cable running through the grommet under the dash on the LH side and it just goes under the treadplates and under the carpet next to the LH doors, behind the side trim and then into a fusebox hidden behind the LH cover in the boot. I've got a few 12V plugs in the back which is handy. Literally took 15 minutes to install.
Its only a 50amp cable but its enough for what I need.
    Cheers,
    Dave.

I ran my wires behind the fuse panel to rear of engine bay.
Then along top of right chassi rail to just in front of the fuel tank. Then they crossed the car.
Underneath the left rear panel. There is a rubber bung. I fed the wires thru it into the left 3rd row seat spot.

For decent size run them from underbonnet fuse box under firewall to chassis rail drivers side then along topish of rail and bring up through the tardis like area behind the tail light and in and behind the side trim in the cargo area....bucket loads of room and you can get to wires out of the way and protected. In cargo area just unclip vent plate and also remove tail light cluster and feed wires through the grommet straight into cargo area. Neat as a pin and well protected. Proper battery cable is far to big for the interior and to pass neatly under sill covers.

    Cheers

Thanks all. Whilst we are on the topic, has anyone used a baintech universal panel?

Will get a pic tomorrow Scott. I think it's where the rear a/c pipes go thru if you have rear a/c.

I fed my 4 gauge cable along the RH chassis rail and completely encased it in convoluted tube. I fed it from the RH battery which is my second battery with a maxi fuse attached to the back of the under bonnet fuse box.
I ran the 4 gauge into the RH rear corner by making a hole behind the taillight aperture and then to a multi mounting block/adaptor available from Jaycar ( gold thing in the Doof doof section).
The easiest way to bring the wiring across the load area is to remove the plastic trim at the rear door aperture. You can trim the carpet a bit which will leave a clear channel all the way across . Replace the trim and the wiring 8 gauge in my case is completely protected and sealed. I was then able to run it behind the storage box and fitted a Hella plug near the cigarette lighter plug.( for the fridge)

I did the same but ran Dual Core cable to the rear. One Hella/Merit plug above the factor power socket and another above the fake vent at the back.
