Hi, you'll not necessarily need that... it's earthed via fixing and it must work without the black wire, but if you want to make it look nice the black wire is an earth
Hey all.
Currently putting the gearbox back in after replacing the clutch and I have noticed that the oil pressure switch is missing a wire (the black one).
Does anyone know where these wires run, so that I can re wire it?

Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
That black wire just sits in the conduit over the top of the gearbox.
The plug end is connected to a pin on the oil switch.
Every now and again this question is asked and always the recommendation is to leave it in the conduit unconnected.
