What drive shafts do I have here?

Hi all I checked the drive shaft last night to find a little bit of play a rust stains. Good catch I recon. Always good to find this out in the driveway and not the mud. But looking at the rusty one and my spare which one do you think is the standard one? My spare has a lot of plates on it of balancing

Which one should I put my greasable uni in?

I'm not sure which one you should put your greasable uni in but I think it's a good idea to replace the centre bearing as well as the uni when servicing a prop shaft. Like on Urban Panzers D2 site www.discovery2.co.uk / Workshop :- front and Rear propshaft

The one on the left looks like the standard shaft.

Yep will do centre bearing as well. My thoughts were the left as standard as well. The other doesn't have a blank for a grease nipple.

The one on the right is also a standard prop shaft, just comes from a later model

I like the boot on the shaft better on the right but the one on the left seems better made. Should the later model have a grease point on the shaft itself?

As far as I know, only the rear shaft was greasable, the front didn't have anywhere to grease or even a dummy hole to put a grease nipple, I know my front had nothing.

Yep one on the left has blank with a grub screw in it the other doesn't. Unless it is under the rubber boot.

I went to my bearing shop and got 3 of these ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410232269.793711.jpg

This is different number to what Urban has on his site. In a rushed search I couldn't find the number on the forum. Are these the correct uni?

Centre bearing is $85 and the part number the Hardy head office gave them was SCV-82V. Is this what others have used?

Not really sure but I bought the Hardy Spicer K5-757 which is the heavy duty ones.

I'm guessing you have the standard version??

    Edit below

    A quick look

The HD 1300's are Australian Hardy Spicer part # K5-A757 and are needed rather than a K5-L4R.
Don't let anyone tell you they are the same, the K5-L4R won't last near as long.

Here are pics of the difference between the K5-A757 and K5-L4R. (courtesy of a thread on LR4x4)
Note the different diameter on the cross.
