Dobinson are a very good shock at the right price. I have had them before my Bilsteins. Pity EFS dont do their knew flash shockers for the d2.

Same experience as Robbo with EFS Elites. A little harsh (paired with rear HD Kings) when empty but excellent when loaded. Had them delivered for about $350 from memory from a small QLD retailer.
Have also used Suspension Stuff for other parts, their service is top notch.
Have run KYB on other vehicles and they were outstanding.
I have Old Man Emu shocks. They've been great. Nearly 20k on them and no dramas. Here's a full set to suit the disco for $50 LAND Rover Discovery 2 Old Man Emu shocks | Brakes & Suspension | Gumtree Australia Inner Sydney - Ultimo | 1052325243
That's what I call a mid price range :D
My Koni's have done 100,000Km including a Big Lap, and still have plenty of rebound damping left and lots of adjustment to go.
But they have lost a fair amount of bump damping - which is non-adjustable. Deciding now whether to get them rebuilt (locally at ~$100 each !), buy new Konis or a less expensive brand mentioned here.
Ride with Konis is superb, so looking for something as good but cheaper!
Cheers

I've bought a complete set of EFS six months ago and enjoyed a noticeable improvement in ride and handling. I believe they are designed in Australia but one can only guess where they are made...
They come with a 3yr, 100 000km warranty.
Just ordered 4 x TerraFirma's std height and 2 genuine D2 engine mounts for total $500 delivered to door. If you order by Monday's afternoon / evening aust time with Lrdirect you will receive it on Friday generally with tracking.
Just ordered 4 x TerraFirma's std height and 2 front springs for $530 to door from TR Spares. Yet to arrive so no comment on service or contents.
FYI, just replaced 2 x terrafirma dampeners from the back of my D2 (as ride was terribly harsh), with old standard height Ironman foam shocks that were in there previously. The ride with the Ironman shocks is much, much better.
Hope to replace with +2" Koni Raids soon.
For you though, the dampener and spring package may be okay, but personally I wouldn't risk it.
Thanks Biggin,
had considered the firmness of the Terrafirma, however i bought the Disco to tow a camper trailer and therefore it will be heavily loaded most of the time i drive it.
time will tell!
