IF you have a welding outfit it will take about a minute. Tack a metal bar to the bush, and easy peasy out....

I ditched the rubber coupling on mine and went for a standard uni type tail shaft.

Much better IMHO. Much easier and cheaper to change a uni joint that the all the crap that goes with the donut.

Yep pluses and minuses for both. I do like how smooth the big rubber coupling makes things. 9 years on from my original post and at over 350,000 the D2 is rolling along nicely with the second rubber coupling. Cheers

Thats pretty good life. I'd be very happy with that. It probably just got old rather than failing from a shock.
