Can anyone do "Option B" for me on my D2a in Brisbane?

I have had a Shuttle Valve Switch fault for 3 weeks now. My mechanic downloaded the report 2 weeks ago and I am getting the 3 amigos intermittently. I have done a bit of research on here and discovered the Option B fix for this. It is outside my skillset. Is anyone able to do this for me in Brisbane, happy to pay.

Don't think my mechanic will do it, outside Landrover guidelines.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, tried the Verandah but that's for Vendors only.

When my ABS unit developed a fault (Not an amigo issue), I bought a reconditioned ABS unit from Triumph Rover Spares which was already modified to prevent the 3 Amigos occuring.

Probably not the answer you were looking, but an option if you can't find anyone to assist you and are happy to pay.

If I still lived in Vegas I would be more than happy to do it for you.

I'm in 'travel with work mode' at the moment.

It's a pretty basic fix though.

Just hang in there, I'm sure someone will assist.

    Regards

I have just recently repaired my ABS pump Assy. Was getting intermittent 3 amigos. Sometimes it would occur after starting the vehicle and just sitting in the driveway without putting into gear, sometimes after turning ignition on before starting the engine, and sometimes while driving the vehicle.

Replaced the shuttle switch solenoid Assy on the bottom of the unit. This didn't fix the problem but did stop the fluid leaking out of the bottom onto the guard.

Removed the unit from the vehicle, split the unit apart and re soldered the pins which the shuttle switch plugs into. You need to trim away some of the plastic cover on the rear of the pins. This seems to have solved the issue and the 3 amigos have not appeared again.
There is a link on the forum here about it somewhere.
Not a huge job, just need a soldering iron, a sharp knife and a couple of hours.
Oh and a Nanocom to purge the system of air and re bleed the brakes. I live a bit too far away otherwise I would have a go at it for you.

Don't go to all this trouble as option B is much easier with the same outcome.
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Thanks Big O I went and saw Greg Tunstall Mechanical today at Ormiston, he charges $550 incl GST for a new Shuttle Valve Switch, the rewiring and bleeding etc including labour, I'll get him to do it.
