My first D2a I fitted a kit. Once the FPR is out it was easy to fit, but didn't fix the problem as the diaphragm was leaking.
Ended up getting a FPR off eBay from Spain. Cost was $45.00.
Well I think the fuel pressure regulator is leakingthis will be the second one if I'm right has any one used the rebuild kit and is it hard to put in. Can any one tell me is it a straight forward job and do I have to prime the system after wards thanks.

I am assuming that you are referring to the TD5 motor - if not, ignore my comments as not applicable to the V8.
I have done the kit and have not had a problem since - has probably been 20,000km and a few years since now.
There are threads about it if you search. One has step by step instructions with pictures.
Put the kit in mine it comes with a new reg and I have had no problems with it
