Talking A tight screw (actually 3 of them)

    2002 td5 auto

Small problem. Rear door lock has not worked for some time. Had to climb over the rear seat to manually operate the door lever.

Finally decided to remove the locking module to attempt a repair. Herein lies the problem.....There are 3 screws holding the bugger in place. Darned if I can loosen them. They are torx screws and I have the correct torx bit, but no go with a normal t spanner. Tried a hand hammered impact wrench AND an electric impact wrench. Should I just give up and buy a new Diso (I wish!)

    Had a similar problem
solution was to drill down the centre of bolts where the Torque goes in
they are a 6mm thread so 4.5mm would be good,,not one of the cheapy type ones either use a good Bit
drill slowly and you will find the head comes Off the bolt once your down to the threaded part a light tap sideways with a centre punch works, you will need new bolts but no other damage should occur,Hopefully the bolts aren't rusted into the lock mechanism,if so one of the vendors of used parts on the forum will be able to help you and for the bolts also
    cheers
    Paul.

Left hand drills are magic for this sort of thing.

In a pinch I slotted the head of these with a dremel then used a large flat head scew driver to remove. I think I also used a set of vice grips on the screw driver to provide extra torque.
