D2 changed from auto to manual ms lights

Just removed my auto from my TD5 and put in a manual, everything went well but I have flashing MS lights how do I get rid of them besides removing light globes? I have told the BCU it's a manual and the auto CU has been removed, the manual ECU is from the doner car. I am at a loss any hits or help will be appreciated, Cheers Joe

IMO you misssed something there cos it's deffinitely a BCU setting issue, what tool did you use and describe exactly what you did... if it's nanocom you must set it in INSTRUMENT PACK menu, try again and insist ...if no joy then it might be some problem with the instrument pack internal circuit... to check that see RAVE - Electrical library - Connector views to identify the pin disposals of the connector at the top right side of the instrument pack(C0230), get some single core thin wire and make a bridge in the plug between pins 20-4-5 or at autobox ECU plug C0193 between pins 25-26-51 where ever it's easyer for you...if this way the M + S lights will not go off there's a problem within the instrument pack

Reset the BCU back to auto, saved settings for some reason had to reset key pip too, then reset back to manual and key pip again, said key was set but the car would not start so redone, car runs fine now, no MS lights. Used both Nanocom and Hawkeye previously but did final change this time with Nanocom. Thanks Sierrafery revisiting and insist - good advice.

Sometimes with a Nanocom 1 the changed BCU settings do not get written properly and/or some settings revert to the defaults. I always do a save of the current settings first, and then edit (write) the new settings. After a write I always do a read and check the all the settings.
