On mine with a bootfull siting on full boost, the needle waves between 20 and beond. Pick up plumbed into where EGR used to be. It is an Autometer gauge.

You might have it tapped into the wrong line. I did that at first and it was all over the place. Changed it to the next line over and it's fine.

U probly getting whacky readings due to the boost modulator then. Keep in mind it turns on/off/on/off very quickly and vents some of the boost back to the inlet of the turbo, this is how it controls the wastgate.

I think you'd be better off tapping into the inlet manifold as then u are seeing exactly what the engine is receiving.

Alternatively, check the line u have taped into at the boost sol.

I used to get whacky results when I was plumbed into the tubing you currently are. Now I am tapped into the pipe that replaced my egr valve and get smooth result up to 19psi when going up a hill hard.

Tap them into where the EGR was.
At full boost you're probably going to get some needle flicker, solved by placing a small restriction in the line.

did your guage come with an inline restrictor, mate with a patrol had to fit the restrictor to stop the boost guage needle jumping around, we both run vdo, mine is tdi and fine with out restrictor

I got this bung welded onto my EGR delete pipe. Takes a 1/8" npt nipple, to goto boost gauge.
