    ACE valve block getting hot - this normal??

    Hi
    In trying to locate an intermittent high pitch buzz which seems to come from the back of the vehicle, I was crawling around under the vehicle and found the alloy ACE valve block was unexpectedly hot to touch - is this normal??. ACE seems to work ok, fluid is at correct level. The pipes and solenoids were all cool to touch.

    It's not abnormal to be hot cos the fluid is warming up through the pump and gets up to 140 Bar in the valve block while action is needed

    I thought that the reasons were in my answer ... as stated, warm fluid at 140 bar circulating through it

    Hi Justinthorpe,
    I have the same buzzing from the rear of my D2. It happens when running and after I have shut the car down. I believe that there is a vent relief valve on the fuel filler tube system into the tank, this valve can fault and the buzzing sound occurs when it consistently by-passes due to differing tank fluid levels.
    I am no expert on this, but this was the explanation given to me by my Landy mechanic.
    If you look on the rave CD, you can see the valve in question in the fuel neck.
