Arb side steps
Hi all,
After many vows never to return to the green oval a friend offered me his immaculate td5 d2a for a price I couldn't refuse so here I am.. I know the minor niggles that can go with td5 ownership may frustrate but I'm thinking 3rd time round i'll be better prepared.
The bugs already bitten and I've Ordered egr blanking kit, fitting snorkel, dual batts and decent rubber this week.. Just curious how much work would be involved in modifying some d1 arb side steps to fit as a friends wrecking his and said I can have them??
Thanks in advance
Mick

Don't imagine that it would be too difficult at all.
I made the side steps myself that are on my old D2 which is still in the family. Basically just copied a set of ARB steps that a mate had, but used slightly heavier pipe and fitted steel end caps rather than the ARB plastic ones.
I bought the aluminium checker plate treads from ARB and pop-riveted them onto my steps. The completed steps look identical to ARB.
Cheers .........
