    Exhaust rub though auto sump

Has anyone had their exhaust mount bracket rub through their transmission pan / sump on an auto TD5?

Mine is close to rubbing though. It appears to be the flexi pipe at the manifold end causing the issue.

I tried holding the exhaust out the way with steel cable tires but that did not work. Has anyone else got a solution short from having the flexi pipe replaced?

C'mon just fix it properly. The flex pipe must be really bad along with the rubber mounts further along to be rubbing on the sump.

Are the rubber mounts you are referring to, the mounts the exhaust hangs from? (Just like any other car) If so these look pretty good. Is there another rubber mount that i'm not aware of?

If it is the flexi join i'll replace it now worries, just want to make sure i'm not missing something else.

Try loosening the two nuts holding the pipe flange to the muffler (big one ) and then twisting the pipe away from the sump . Of course they may be already loose causing it to twist closer to the sump . If your flex has gone you would of heard it
    by now ..
