I see 360-380 degC at 100kph. Idles drops back to around 200. Full throttle acceleration 0-110kph and peaks at around 680degC. I have an upgraded IC.
Where is your egt probe fitted?

I had also questioned what temp is a conservative safe max but got mixed response.

PS I just fitted TD5 Alive boost box (no ECU upgrade or intercooler yet) smoother and more linear response thru gears. Temps consistent 50-70 deg lower and extra 50km per tank. (Cost 50$Aus)
There is no set difference between pre and post. It depends on about a dozen different factors and is continually changing. It can be several hundred degrees.Quote:
