    Auto Transmission leak

    Hi all.
recently devloped a leak on the TD5.

I have traced it to transmission.

Looks like next to the tranny on the drivers side is a strange peice of equipment. Can only describe as 3 or 4 metal plates bolted together and housed to the transmission.
Looks like one of the bolts securing this equipment to the transmission has sheared off and now the tranny leaks.
Is it common? Does not look like an easy fix either.... Not much oil leaks out, but enough to notice on the driveway.
    Any thoughts??

The part you are looking at is a vibration damper it won't be leaking from that as its just bolted to the back of the transfer case if your leak is coming from this area it will most likely be the rear seal on the transfer case

    have attached pic.

Leak is tranfer case not transmission.... my bad
The red circle is where teh leak is. The bolt screws through the plate i mentioned and into the transfer case. This screw has sheered off the trasnfer case and now leaks fluid.
