1000km is overkill on a quality item like a TW shaft.
Given that good maintenance drills for stock standard shafts is every 5k kms, every service (10k) as mentioned by Dave will be fine IMHO.
driveshaft arrived and looks good, see sticker serviced every 3000 milesAttachment 87596Attachment 87597
Or every 4827 kms
Round it up to 5000 and you've got the service intervals of a standard prop shaft :)
the centre bearing grease nipple is pretty well hidden and needs special grease needle
unit looks pretty good joints are spicer not Japanese, it's more solid the TW unit will see how it lasts Attachment 87615
Attachment 87616
The tw looks bigger and more solid to me, may just be the pics?
yea looks like it on the pic but reality GBR is heavier, thicker joints, thicker yokes etc
These aren't parts that fail though. I think the key parts will be the uni and centre bearings with their seals and lubrication if the shafts are both 1310s. Chatting with Tom, he can make them as 1350's if you'd like, but the increase in weight magnifies vibrations which may be in the system even with the shaft balanced.
