do you see the R on the odometer when you select reverse?, cos the output to BCU which gives the information to the odometer is on the same contact with the reverse lamps if you see what i mean
Can't quite find a thread that resolves my D2 issue so here goes
2001 D2 TD5 auto with no reverse lights or rear wiper when in reverse. Continuity of the light circuit check out OK but, of course, no voltage present. There are no other warning lights or apparent driving problems. The old girl at the moment doesn't do much hardworking, only carrying a 200 litre water tank around to water the horses. Is it just the inhibitor switch needs overhauling again? My Haynes manual also talks of a possible faulty EAT ECU. Any ideas out there please.

All gear selections are shown on the odometer display and the pair of lights beside the gear selector also illuminate. While there is no problem selecting neutral in the gearbox, sometimes it does not illuminate the lights or the odometer display
Check at C0484/C0102 cos corrosion is common there, the reverse signal is on the green/brown wire pin 11
