Out of ideas - no power. :(

Hoping someone can give me a hint. 2004 discovery TD5 auto has decided to go a bit gutless. I have checked the waste gate, bypassed the boost modulator, confirmed the fuel pump is working and installed EGR removal kit. Even tried adjusting waste gate arm.

Had the car a few months. Drove from Perth to Bridgetown about two months ago and it was great. Maintained highway speed the whole way. Next time, struggling to get to 80 on the first hill, and now dropping to 60 on the same hill.

I am out of ideas. Suggestions welcome.

Really need to stick it on a computer for some readouts/ values. Have you checked the MAP and MAF sensors???

Nope, I have not really checked. I tried disconnecting one of the sensors originally, but did not help.

Thanks, I will look into both. Two of the same answer probably means I am getting closer.

Just cleaned them both. Different car. I guess I should remove the waste gate modulator bypass.

Thanks for the help, really appreciated.

Just cleaning the MAF will only give a temporary improvement. They are designed as a throw away item. About $250 gets you a brand new one....THEN you'll have a different car
