Do I need a new radiator or can this one be fixed ?

    Hello All,

    I have a 1999 D2 TD5 Auto with 263K on the clock.

Its got a very small amount of coolant loss ..only approx 200ml per fortnight or so.

Seems I have leaks in the fuel cooler section of the radiator though. Found them when I removed the fan and shroud to replace the thermostat.

Have put the thermostat replacement job on hold now till I figure what to do with the Radiator. Might as well tackle them both together.

So do I need a new radiator as well or does this look fixable ?

    Thanks in advance.

    new radiator

I think at those Ks, get a new one. The alloy won`t last forever, and if you leave it the small leak will only get bigger.
Watch out for some aftermarket cheapies some not very good.

If it was mine, i'd bin it and get a new one. No questions. Heck, I'm thinking of changing mine out simply because it is nearly 11 y o. Again, cheap insurance. Plus as has been suggested, get an engine saver.
