Didn't mean all poms, just the ones who partake in the afore mentioned activities. Of course, not limited to poms, but most of the Pay and Play sites I see footage of seems to be that :)

Nolans is generally the deepest,but watch the others as well.

On the first trip we did,'07,Palm ck was bonnet level on the D2a,and one i think is called Logan ford? was also very deep.

I got crossed up in a relatively shallow creek on the way to a fantastic camping spot on the Jardine,the water was about 2mm from getting into the auto ECU.
When we eventually got out we found dozens of fish in the passenger footwells.

All fun and games.:D

Unless between December and June with the precautions suggested even a D2 should be fine:D Or you could do what we did on our 1970 trip in a V8 series 1 80" to cross the Jardine Pulled all the electronics:confused: Well the dash .engine GB and TC and ferried them across in the boat .Then winched the 100 meters across very soft sand with water to about 1400mm deep with aircraft starter motor winch and refitted on the North side.Five adults a kid +large dog in a series 1 made for a cosy trip to the tip:) Apologies for the pics

One of my brothers lived in Weipa for many years.

One year,mid '80s,they drove the Jardine in a petrol MQ patrol.I don't think the water was 1400mm deep though.Did it no worries.

There are some fantastic remote camping spots along both sides of the Jardine,but watch out for crocs.

The story is,Bazza,his mate was too stingy to pay the ferry fare.:o

I think it'd be better to leave the drain holes open but that's just me :)
