Hi guys hope someone can help with this one. I have a 2001TD5 D2 and I noticed the rear drivers side blinker was flashing week. So I had a better look pulled it out changedglobes etc and on test noticed the red light next to it and the one on the otherside of the car was also flashing. All very weak, but at normal speed. These are the light in the rear bumper. I disconnected the trailer plug socket andno difference. Any ideas where to start ????
You might need to check your blinker fluid as well, seems that a lot people don't check theirs and they've all run out of it because the blinkers dont work anymore.

As stated, definitely a bad earth.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I would be looking at the plug that goes from the loom into the back of the globe holder. They have little connector pins in them and they are susceptible to rusting if water can get to them. They will dim and also illuminate intermittently before failing.

Well I checked all earths and they seemed clean and ok. So gave up. But before I did I though I would swap base from other side. It worked ok So then put dud one on the old good side and all good. Fixedm. Don't know how or why. Possible the base is defective and having its last gasp, will see. Many thanks for advice.
Cheers
