Don't over tighten the valley end clamps, this is another reason they leak.
Finally finished getting it all back together today and the engine ran successfully.
I was truly thankful.
I decided to put some red OAT coolant in it for a change to minimise overheating because I was sure that I had found the last coolant leak from the throttle body pre-heater, which I have now bypassed.
Then this remarkable vehicle humbled me yet again by weeping coolant out of the water pump weep hole.
So tomorrow's job is find a new water pump, YAY.

In the process of changing the water pump I noticed this item didnt have the wiring plugged in and I remembered seeing a plug that wasnt connected to anything and it fitted.
The engine ran fine and it didnt seem to affect anything so I am wondering what it is and what it does.
