First real Disco breakdown - well sort of.

    Bloody unreliable Land Rovers.....

Pulling up a big hill with the camper in tow and pop and little power??????? It still pulled to the top of the hill, well rolled slowly to the top.

Thinking OH CRAP not now as I was heading out camping with my daughter and grand kids in the next car....

Then I thought what I have read about EGR removal kit without the ridge on the pipe causing them to pop off, might be the problem?? Popped the bonnet and yep intercooler pipe popped off, then remembered I haven't checked the clamp since I fitted the kit many months ago.

Engine cover off, clean pipe & hose, put back on & tighten hose clamp and put cover back on. Maybe 10 Mins, well it was hot!!

Power restored and we were off camping.

Got mine from somewhere like Slovakia on ebay ( the things one does late at night... ). It has the ridge as well.

And a LOT of black smoke until the ECU decides no boost.
