    fuel gauge issues

    looking at a d2 today duel fuel and the fuel gauge comes up to the bottom with the light on when the ignition is turned on and then drops to the bottom lpg tanks were full and petrol tank was half full any ideas ?

    Hi ken, I take it it has scuba tanks, and the little side tank for petrol? Quite likely sender has unclipped from the tank unit, or there is a broken wire on the sender, or the wiring is incorrect and they have switched off the guage and fuel pump supply when switching to gas. Can you get fuel when cranking?

    yes starts and runs fine Justin tried another cluster did the same thing also I believe it has a new pump

    Good stuff, as you probably have seen lots of times there can be some pretty dodgy wiring installations about...:-( . I'd put money on that.

    im wondering if its a faulty connection where they have connected the lpg wiring / interface
