Sanchez is alive and keeping his cool.
I recently purchased a Discovery 2 td5. The poor things fairly neglected prior to me getting hold of it. The cooling system was filled with just water and it sat for nearly a year.
After driving it home it checked the coolant level (water) and it was brown. I guess rust from the block had been pushed around. So i bit the bullet and decided to renew all coolant hoses and a new radiator.
She went well for a couple of weeks when the fuel cooler wanted to leak. So i removed the flat old o rings and replaced them. Then a week later the water pump started to leak. So i replaced the water pump and housing o ring. Which was alot easier than i thought it would be.
Now Sanchez is back (yeah i named my Disco Sanchez. So when it gets dirty it will a dirty Sanchez)
So fingers crossed it will be fine now with no leaks. Touch wood.
