    injectors mixed up

    I have just got my head back from the machine shop.
    They pulled my injectors out and gave them back to me in a box!.
    I know that if you have to buy new ones the must be able to tune them to the particular cylinder.
    I do own a nanocom but must admit this is going to be a tough effort for my feeble mind to do any tuning.
    Can any of you more learned gentlemen offer any advice?

    very easy to do just record the injector numbers and cyl position andwhen you get into the nanocom log them in the correct order pretty much the same process as coding a remote

    Safest way is write numbers down 1-5 on a piece of paper, next to each number write the code which is on top of each inj (eg, gmnga) then when its all together go into nanocom and write the codes in

    You can plug the Nanocom into the vehicle and read the stored injector codes from the ECU.Then replace the injectors in the corresponding order....the codes are marked on top of the injectors as 5 letters.If I remember rightly the Nanocom converts last letter to a number?If you have already installed the injectors you can set the injector codes in their correct order using the Nanocom.

    You cannot access nanocom inj without ign on , turning ign on unless its all back together could short glow plugs and spray fuel everywhere

    I have placed the injectors but will pull them again as doscorevy says I will have fuel everywhere.

    I may be a bit slow but why not just make a list of the injector codes , and once the engine is completely assembled turn on the ignition and rewrite the codes into the Nanocom before starting, or even after starting for that matter. AFAIR the codes are on top of the injectors and can be read with the rocker cover off.
    It will just be a rearrangement of the codes already listed in the Nanocom.

    YES! It runs again.
    Thanks Guys. You fellows "ROCK"
    Injectors recoded and it is now going.
    I took it down the road and it stopped after about two kms. I pulled off and turned on the Nanocom. I found that I had put the same code in for injectors four and five so I rewrote number five and all good.
    It was a fuel problem so will go for small drives tomorrow, this time with tools onboard and my mobile on board.( Maybe air in the lines)
    Got a bit of tidying to do under the bonnet wires etc.
    Yesterday and today were both thirty five degrees so I decided to get into the air conditioning and give up by five pm.
