    Camshaft Disco 2

I want to replace the camshaft in my Disco 2 4.0L engine while I have it in a million pieces. Looking to maybe get one that gives it some more torque. But not sure where to get it from. Anybody know what is available and where to get it ?

Do you want one made in Oz?
Mines a H180 Kent cam from England.
Any company that can grind a cam can do one.

Any company that can grind a cam, can grind a Kent profile but do they harden it correctly so that in 100km you aren't pulling the cam out again.
Spend the extra money and get a billet cam.

    Ok mate this is mine

    371613 - RANGE ROVER 4.6 HI TORQ CAM - 371613 - RANGE ROVER : CrowCams

Certainly gave it more urge in middle rev range - more towing torque. You could tell it was not stock without a load but more noticeable with a load - with a heavy load you could tell the difference, although the difference was not huge. I wouldnt go with this cam unless towing all the time. I understand that the High Compression 4.6's cam has higher and longer valve opening.

    Cheers

Make sure you replace the lifter alsoo , other wise you end up like others with premature wear.
