On my Disco 2 tdi5
Between the manifold and the mufflers there is a flexible joint , thy say mine is worm out and is the reason my Disco has become noisy, but when i get some one to rev engine and i put my hand around this fitting i don't feel any exhaust coming out of it ,but i will say there is some soot on the wire mesh
any one else had to replace theirs

SubscriberGet a helper to hold a rag over the tail pipe with it idling while you get under and have a look, you'll soon find where it's leaking from, your helper doesn't need to choke the gasses off completely, but just with a reasonably firm pressure
