The flywheels swap is a given , injector codes can be read with a nanacom or similar tools, would be a good time to replace all the hidden hoses, the fuel reg, remember the ECU is diff in auto and manuals. Others will have more ideas I daresay
Hi all, I'm planning a D2 td5 engine swap and wanted to clarify some specifics.
I'm taking a 10p engine out of a 00my D2 (to be wrecked) that is currently auto and putting it into a 99my manual D2 that has a 10p engine.
I just want to verify a couple of things in regards to putting in an engine that was auto into a manual car.
- Apart from programming the new injector codes into the ECU is there anything else that I need to reprogram?
- Am I able to get the injector codes from the 00my ECU before swapping, rather than taking the rocker cover off and looking manually?
- Will I need to swap the flywheels over?
- Is there anything else that I should do?
- Are there any preventative maintenance things you recommend that I do whilst I have the engines out?

X2 plus you may want to check oil pump bolt , change out the o ring between oil rotor filter housing and oil cooler , hose to oil cooler that normally sits behind turbo , oil hose from vacuum pump , and maybe de-web / drill out exhaust manifold , o ring to Power steering pump, check engine mounts
