So because it only costs $66 for a diagnosis I took it off to get checked.
The testing shows that the soleniods are all working at the right times and the TCC, torque converter clutch simply isn't responding to the solenoid swtiching.
The ATF was checked and it's not the best, considering it was changed only 4 weeks back.
Indications are that it's something internal.
Having read that the autos have a general life of 240k kms or so, then at 290k kms with an unknown life, I'm not really left with much option than to consider a rebuild.
Not a cheap option, but then that's the cost of older cars I guess.
I'm just not sure spending the money on this D2 is the right thing, but after a head rebuild and nearly anything else that needs replacing being replaced, I'm struggling to find a reason to back out now. Oh well as they say.... :censored::censored::censored:
